Seventy shops along a 170-metre covered street: you grill at your own table, over charcoal.
Along the ‘Big Street’, 170 metres under cover, about seventy fishmongers, dried-goods shops and delicatessens sell squid, scallops and the produce of Hachinohe port. In the ‘shichirin village’ (七厘村) you buy fish at the counter and grill it at your own table on a charcoal brazier; there is also an indoor play area for children.
A covered market in Hachinohe devoted to local seafood and food products, with a grill dining area included in the entry ticket to the individual shops.
ℹ️ Opening hours and days vary by season (the calendar is published on the official website); the grill village requires you to buy fish from the market stalls. A few minutes by car from central Hachinohe; ‘八食センター’ bus stop on the northern ring road.
