Opened in 1964, the closest to Miyajima, with alkaline radon water and a view of the island.
The closest to Miyajima of the prefecture's hot spring villages, on the coast of the Ōno-seto, the strait that separates the mainland from the sacred island. The water is a weakly radioactive simple thermal spring (単純弱放射能泉), alkaline, known locally as ‘water for beautiful skin’; it is indicated for neuralgia, rheumatism and fatigue. The Benimansaku no Yu public bath, with nine different baths, looks out from a hill over the Ōno-seto and Miyajima opposite.
A hot spring village on the coast facing Miyajima, in the municipality of Hatsukaichi, opened in 1964 (Shōwa 39).
ℹ️ The Benimansaku no Yu public bath is open 10:00–22:00, closed on the third Tuesday of the month (the following day if that is a public holiday). Ticket: adults 850 yen, children 400 yen.
