The winter illumination has reached 7 million bulbs, in a garden that opened in 1998.

The garden, opened in 1998, is today above all an illumination: from November, millions of LED lights (7 million in the 2012 edition) turn the flower fields into an evening route that in 2011 ran from early November to early April. Out of season the flower fields remain, on more than 43,000 square metres of land.

Part of the Nagashima Onsen resort, run by Nagashima Kankō Kaihatsu, the same company that runs Nagashima Spa Land next door. It began as a flower garden and over time has specialised in the winter illumination, now its main attraction.

ℹ️ Paid admission, with a surcharge during the illumination period. Opening hours and prices vary by season: check the official website before you set off.
