Small sunken shopping plaza in front of the Ochanomizubashi exit of JR Ochanomizu Station: it lies below street level but is open to the sky. The 池田坂 that runs beside it takes its name from the residence of Ikeda Ichinojō, which in the Genroku era stood at the top of the slope, where the Nihon University hospital is today; because of the fighting dogs kept there it was also called 唐犬坂.
ℹ️ Public passageway, always accessible; the shops keep their own hours.
