Started in 1995 as a chocolate factory; the tower from 2000 animates figurines for 10 minutes.

The complex began in 1995 as the ‘Chocolate Factory’ of the confectioner Ishiya, and was renamed Shiroi Koibito Park in 2003, after the company's famous biscuit filled with white chocolate. The most photographed spot is the mechanical clock tower, completed in August 2000: every hour, for about ten minutes, an automatic mechanism animates European-style figurines. The free area alone takes a couple of hours; with the paid factory route (Chocotopia Factory, free but only a 15–20 minute guided visit) and the other paid activities, a full visit comes to about 3 hours.

白い恋人パーク is the theme park that the confectionery maker Ishiya built around its own factory in Sapporo, opened in 1995 as Chocolate Factory and renamed in 2003 after its most famous biscuit, the Shiroi Koibito. The buildings recall European architecture, with English-style gardens, a tower with a mechanical clock and areas devoted to children's workshops and to the company's history; the free area sits alongside paid routes and experiences inside the factory itself.

ℹ️ Open 9:00–17:00. Free area open to all; paid area 800 yen for adults (high school and up), 400 yen up to junior high, free under 3, plus extra charges for individual workshop activities. ⚠️ The Chocotopia Factory guided factory route is scheduled for renovation work from January to July 2026: part of the route may not be open to visitors during that period.
