A small station on the Tōkaidō Main Line on the island of Bentenjima, inside Lake Hamana: station building, ticket gates and waiting room are all on the platform, which is twice the normal width. From there you can watch the Tōkaidō Shinkansen trains go by at full speed. From Hamamatsu it is three stations, twelve minutes.
ℹ️ Always accessible. The right-hand exit no longer leads anywhere: for the sea, take the left-hand one and the underpass. Ordinary trains stop a little further along than the point where the one in the anime stops.

It is ‘Maitenjima’ station in the fourth episode: the four of them get off here to go to the sea, and on the sign the neighbouring station, 新居町 (Araimachi), becomes あららまち. The very wide platform and the view over Lake Hamana are closely reproduced; the exit they take is the left-hand one, towards the underpass to the beach. The information kiosk in front of the station is the one that serves as the background to Vine's wait in the first episode, even though there the meeting is in Hamamatsu.
