The unstaffed Sanriku Railway station is where Suzume and Sōta say their last goodbye, in the finale. Close by, on Route 45, the Orikasa River floodgate (織笠川水門) appears (cut from some streaming editions), along with the Yamada Bay seawall, five minutes' walk from Riku-Yamada Station.
