They call it ‘the Ise of Tokyo’, and it is the shrine where people pray for love.

The shrine calls itself 「東京のお伊勢さま」, the Ise of Tokyo, in reference to the Grand Shrine of Ise. It is where Tokyo goes to pray for bonds (「心結び、縁結び、幸結び」), and it hosts real Shinto wedding ceremonies.

⚠️ The origin of its reputation for love is not explained on the official site: it says what the shrine is today, not where the reputation comes from.

ℹ️ A public street: you can pass through at any hour; the shrine's opening hours are not on the page that was read.
