Opened in 2001 next to Disneyland, it is the only Disney park in the world themed entirely on the sea: seven ‘ports’, from the Mediterranean to the Mysterious Volcano, each recreate a landscape connected with water. At the centre rises the volcano of Mysterious Island, 51 metres high, with an attraction inside.
The second park of Tokyo Disney Resort, opened in 2001 in Urayasu. In 2023 it recorded 12.4 million visitors, third among Japan's theme parks after USJ and Disneyland.
