A whole street of restaurants that make one thing only: monjayaki.
Along this street almost every sign sells the same speciality: monjayaki, a runny batter cooked on the griddle at the table, a more watery relative of okonomiyaki. It is a dish made this way in Tsukishima, and nowhere else in the same concentration.
Tsukishima is an artificial island in Tokyo Bay, and the monja street has become its culinary identity.
ℹ️ A public street, open to walk along at any time; opening hours are those of the individual restaurants, typically from lunch to evening.
