A 7,000 m² greenhouse, the largest of its kind in Japan, opened on 20/09/2003.

A ‘flowers and birds’ theme park opened on 20 September 2003, centred on a heated greenhouse of 7,000 square metres that the park itself claims is the largest facility of its kind in Japan. Inside, birds (penguins, parrots, owls) fly freely among the visitors instead of in closed aviaries, while about 100 varieties and 600 specimens of tropical water lilies bloom all year round: this too, the park says, is the largest display of its kind in the country. Among the paid activities is having an owl perch on your arm.

The park belongs to the small group of Japanese ‘hana-tori-en’ (climate-controlled flower and bird gardens) that can be visited whatever the weather outside: the greenhouse is air-conditioned, cool in summer and heated in winter.

ℹ️ Weekdays 9:00–16:30 (last entry 16:00), holidays 9:00–17:00 (last entry 16:30). Closed on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month (holiday hours during Golden Week, Obon and New Year). Tel. 0537-62-6363.
