A free 1 hr 30 min tour taking in the real assembly line and the Le Mans-winning cars.
At Mazda's Fuchū plant, the free guided tour of about an hour and a half passes through ten zones, from the company's history to the concept cars, up to Zone 9, the only section where you see the real assembly line in operation, which cannot be photographed for reasons of industrial security. The cars on display include the 787B, the only Japanese car to have won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1991, now accompanied by a sound installation that reproduces the roar of the rotary engine. Booking is compulsory and online only (not by phone or email), and opens three months before the date: there are no visits at weekends, except usually the first Saturday of the month, or on company closure days.
