The north exit of Hamamatsu Station opens beneath Mayone, the shopping centre that is also the station building. On the plaza in front stand the Entetsu department store and the Soramo covered gallery (浜松市ギャラリーモール ソラモ), a municipal public space used for markets and concerts; since 2011 a sphere representing the Earth has stood in the middle of the gallery, and not the Christmas tree seen in the anime.
ℹ️ The plaza is always open and very busy during the day: recreating the shot at rush hour is difficult. The city's official map still gives 浜松魅力発信館 The GATE HAMAMATSU as the information point, but it closed on 31 March 2021 and has been demolished.

In the first episode Vine waits here for Gabriel for two hours, and Gabriel does not turn up because she is asleep. The anime background is a hybrid: the information kiosk is the one in front of Bentenjima Station, put together with pieces taken from here. In the manga (volume 1, chapter 2) the meeting is simply at Mayone, with the sign changed to ‘MAY TWO’. 140 m away, under the Soramo gallery in front of the Entetsu department store, Satania phones Vine on Christmas evening in the ninth episode, in front of a decorated tree.
