You can climb into the Daihatsu Midget three-wheeler from ALWAYS, between a reconstructed tavern and cinema.

A whole street of post-war Japan (1955–1985) reconstructed indoors: public bath, dance hall, snack bar, electronics shop, barber's, games arcade with working Famicom consoles, cinema and pachinko hall, with a school classroom upstairs. The Daihatsu Midget three-wheeler used in the film ‘ALWAYS - Sanchōme no Yūhi’ can be examined up close. The posters and memorabilia are authentic, collected by the previous president of the company that runs the museum.

Private museum near the historic Sanmachi district, set up to recreate the atmosphere of the years of Japan's economic growth through everyday objects and full-size shops rather than through explanatory panels.

ℹ️ Open all year round, 9:00–17:00. Admission: adults 1,200 yen, high school 900, junior high 700, children aged 4 and over 500.

🚉 Takayama Nohi Bus Centre · 13 min walk
